About Virginia Inventors Forum
We are an organization of entrepreneurs, inventors, imagineers, educators and those who help inventors. We invite you to join us.
Virginia Inventors Forum (VIF) is dedicated to actively assisting and educating inventors at both the national (USA) and global level. VIF's principal focus is to provide inventor/entrepreneur information and support, as well as serving in an advisory capacity to public and private sector institutions and community associations.
What We Are VIF was founded in 2008. Information and educational materials are free and open to the public. Additional in-depth materials and services are available to members on the members-only sections of this site. We are not an invention submission company nor an invention development company.
What We Do We help our members move along a well-regarded set of invention development steps to place themselves in a position for commercial success. We do not benefit from such success and never take ownership in our member's creations or businesses. Members are drawn from the ranks of professional inventors, engineers and scientists, small business inventors and the general public at large. We provide a monthly series of Member's Assistance Meetings open only to our members and designed to provide hands-on help to them as they take their inventions through various stages of the invention development and legal protection process. When our members are ready to move into serious commercial steps to develop a professional business plan, to make effective commercial contacts and to acquire venture capital, we guide them to the appropriate venture organizations to help them with the next steps.
Member Assistant Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month (January - October). See event calendar for locations.
